Winchester Model 71 Standard Grade 348 Win. Rifle Made 1952
Description: DESCRIPTION: Winchester Model 71 short tang, standard grade rifle, caliber 348 Win., with standard plain pistol grip walnut butt stock and checkered steel butt plate, 2/3 mag tube, 24" round barrel with ramped front sight, plain beavertail fore arm, based on the 1886 action, serial # 34504, made 1952. CONDITION: Barrel and mag tube exhibit 90% bright original blue with some scuffing and wear, especially left side of barrel and right end of mag tube. Receiver retains 75% bright original blue with typical thinning in the carry area on underside of receiver and loss at the receiver edges. Bore is mint, action is strong, half cock safety functions. Rifle has been properly cleaned and test-fired, functions as it should and shoots very tight groups. Stocks show typical nicks, dings and wear with light flaking of the original varnish, most of which (90%) still remains. No extra holes, never sanded or refinished. Missing front sight hood and rear sight is a period Marble's replacement. Good representative shooter/beginning collector grade Winchester Model 71 that you won't be afraid to take in the woods and help fill the freezer. TERMS: No international sales.
