Winchester Model 75 .22LR – TARGET MODEL, ORIGINAL 97%, vintage firearms inc
Description: General Specs: Winchester, Year 1947, 22 LR, 8lbs 6oz, LOP 13 3/8" Serial Number: 42345 What a great find we have here…an all original, untouched Winchester Model 75 Target rifle, sn42345 made in 1947, with most all its original finish intact. The gun comes with what appears to be the original sling, factory optional Lyman 57E receiver sight and #93 blade front sight, perfect screws, 98% factory barrel blue with a perfect bore and crisp rifling, crisp trigger, wood has no cracks or repairs…just an honest, little-used Target rifle. These were excellent target guns made by Winchester to be a more affordable and lighter weight alternative to the Model 52 Target. The bolt is head spaced to very tight tolerances on each individual rifle and is numbered to the receiver. The 28” barrel is rifled to match specs from breech to muzzle, the stock is shaped for optimum comfort in the prone position. The trigger is a single stage, crisp, and adjustable for weight of pull. The sights are excellent and micro adjustable. The position of the front sling swivel is movable fore and aft, and the rifle was sold with a 1 ¼” leather sling. The rifle has the original factory 5 round magazine. Like the M52, the 75 has a forward barrel band that is adjustable for tightness to help optimize accuracy with various brands of ammunition. This is a seriously engineered rifle built for accuracy and reliability. Not only that, but it is also a very affordable rifle that will continue to gain value as you enjoy its use. Whether going for gold shooting bullseyes, or taking squirrels with head shots at 50 yards, this is a rifle that will do both equally well. Thanks for looking!
