Description: ****************SALE PENDING**************** Another “ESTATE” firearm listing brought to you from Dust 2 Dollars who prides themselves on showing the complete gun in high quality pictures along with a detailed description for your consideration. We offer you an “All Original” Winchester Pre-1964 Model 88 Lever Action Rifle in .308 Winchester that was manufactured in 1961. This model 88 Winchester has seen some days hunting but has survived without alteration for the last 60 plus years. It is an “Old School” setup with a Bushnell Banner 4 power scope on top. That sits in a set of Weaver Tip-Off scope rings and base as shown. This mount allowed you to rotate the scope to the side which allows you to use the open sights. The bluing on the barrel is in very fine condition as shown. There are some rough spots at the muzzle with on “rub” mark on the top of the barrel as pictured. It is 22 inches long and has a very fine bore with no issues. The receiver finish is in fine condition as you can see. The stock is solid with no chips, cracks or repairs. It also wears the original Winchester butt plate and not an added pad as most do by now. The finish has flaked of in spots over the years as seen by the dark areas in the finish. But the checkering panels are still in fine condition. It has the original magazine with it with the follower marked “M88” and “WINCHESTER” on its floor plate. The left side of the barrel is marked “WINCHESTER / TRADE MARK”, “MODEL 88 / MADE IN U.S.A.”, “CAL. .308 WIN. / WIN. PROOF STEEL”. The left side of the barrel at the receiver and the left front of the receiver is marked with a circled “WP” proof. The left side of the receiver is also marked with the serial number “112286”. This will be shipped fully insured UPS Ground to your FFL for $60. It will be shipped in a double walled cardboard box that we have manufactured for us so that your gun arrives safe.
