Description:
The Winchester Model 88 was introduced in 1955, and this sample was manufactured in 1961. They are a modern departure from the traditional lever action with detachable magazines holding high-intensity cartridges. The bolt has a three lug lockup, and this made for a short-throw lever, that makes them more like a bolt-action than a traditional lever action. This one is in good condition with good lockup, sound wood, and clean metal. The sights, including the hood are intact. .308 Winchester
