Winchester Model 88 Carbine 358 !!!!!!
Description:
THIS POTENT LITTLE M 88 CARBINE CHAMBERED IN 358 WAS NEVER MADE !!!! BUT WE HAVE IT HERE. ***
Started life as a 1968 M 88 chambered in .308. Was shortened to carbine lenght and re chambered to powerful 358 then stocked in a correct M 88 Carbine Stock.
One of many we've had rechambered by JES reboring. If one reads the reviews people who've had him rechamberd their rifles report improved accuracy .
Front sight was sacrificed with the amputation. We can probably have a sighen installed or you can; cost would be estimated at $ 300.00 plus or minus.
With the 19" carbine lenght barrel this would make a stunning rifle for Elk in the Dark Timber, moose or black bear.
It weighs less than 6 3/4lbs and is only approx 38" long, similer to a little Ruger 44 mag carbine wiht a LOT more bang.
We have a number of excellent used perior correct scopes that would go nicely on this very unique rifle.
