Winchester Model 88 lever action rifle - .243 Win. - 1967

A real clean Winchester Model 88 lever action rifle chambered for the .243 Winchester cartridge. It has a 22" barrel with a nice bright bore. The serial number indicates production back in 1967. This rifle is in very fine condition and shows a few signs of normal hunting use. Receiver and barrel have 98% of the original blue with some wear showing at the muzzle and maybe some lightening on the edges of the receiver. There is no rust or corrosion anywhere. The walnut stock is also in fine condition with a few scattered handling marks and fine scratches. Otherwise, wood is in great shape with all the original factory finish intact. The stock has not been sanded and has the factory basketweave with oak leaf checkering that Winchester used on all post-1964 Model 88 and 100 rifles. This rifle has correct and original front bead sight and factory folding rear sights, including the front sight hood. The rifle still has the original sling swivels. The action works smoothly and as designed.
