c.1948 WINCHESTER Model 1894 .30-30 WCF Rifle C&R
Description: c.1948 WINCHESTER Model 1894 .30-30 WCF Rifle C&R American CLASSIC Made in 1948 Here we present a Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Rifle, made in 1948 in New Haven, Connecticut. The credit for the design of such a prolific firearm again lies with John Moses Browning, who lent his extensive design talents to a large number of weapon types throughout his career. The Model 1894 was the first Winchester rifle made for use with the new technology of smokeless powder and was developed as a hunting rifle. Over 7.5 million were produced from 1894 until 2006. While various cartridges were supported throughout the run of the gun, the .30-30 Winchester became its staple. In practical use, the Model 1894 became a favorite for general shooters and hunters alike. To this day, it remains a deer hunting favorite, and, in all likelihood, more deer have been taken with the 1894 than any other. This one features a shotgun type butt stock and is chambered for the ubiquitous .30-30 WCF. The magazine tube has been abbreviated. The rear sight is by Marbles. Overall, a good-looking rifle that someone has made their own! The overall condition is good. The metal surfaces bear a light gray patina. The markings are clear and legible. The stock is in good shape. The bore is near fine, bright with strong rifling. The action is strong. Here is a classic Winchester from just after World War II! This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 20 inches. Caliber: .30-30 WCF Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1250 #8177 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
