SCARCE Canadian “PACIFIC COAST MILITIA RANGERS” WINCHESTER M94 Carbine C&R
1942 WORLD WAR II Issued .30-30 LEVER ACTION
Description: SCARCE Canadian “PACIFIC COAST MILITIA RANGERS” WINCHESTER M94 Carbine C&R 1942 WORLD WAR II Issued .30-30 LEVER ACTION Here we present a C&R Scarce Canadian Pacific Coast Militia Rangers” Winchester Model 94 Lever Action Carbine, made circa 1942 in New Haven, Connecticut. This example has the typical characteristics of the of the 3,000 Model 94 carbines purchased to arm the Canadian Pacific Coast Militia Rangers. All of these carbines were in the 1,300,000 serial number range. At its height, the unit had a strength of approximately 15,000, with a large number of these being members of the “First Nations”. The Rangers were tasked with patrolling the wild and sparsely populated northwestern coast of Canada due to fears of Japanese invasion and was considered by many observers as Canada’s finest militia. The PCMR was disbanded in September of 1945 with the surrender of the Japanese but continues as the Canadian Rangers. In addition to the standard markings including Winchester factory oval proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech, this carbine has three Canadian “C Broad Arrow” markings, which are on the left of the forearm, receiver, and the buttstock. The overall condition is very good. Original finish. The action is excellent. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. The stock shows use and remains solid throughout. Sling swivels have been installed. There is a “C” with a broad arrow stamp on the left side of the receiver, a “C” stamped on the left side of the butt stock and a faint “C” stamped into the left of the forearm. Leather sling is in nice shape. There is a small, neat Woodcock Hill import mark on the left side of the barrel just forward of the fore end. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 20 inches. Caliber: .30-30 WIN Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R Licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $2600 #240239 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
