A real compact  banger (Length overall is only 36" and barrel is only 18") in this  uncommon chamberingz' hard hitting 444 Marlin capable on game up to Cape Buffalo, the big Bears, Moose or Elk in the Timber. These represent a really clever re design of the ubiquitious Model 94 Winchester popular with woodsman since the 1800's...with a beefed up receiver to handle more more powerful cals. and additionally these eject in such a way that a scope may be mounted in the traditional position. In 444 Marlin this was the most powerful of all the many chamberings (we have them in 307 Waters and 356 Win as well) and are among our favorites.
The deep high lusture blue is actually better than on any pre 64's 
Condition is as new, and does not appear to have been hunted at all.
Shown but NOT INCLUDED is the perfect combination of rifle / scope a Leupold half tube (often the choice for hunters persuing dangerous game) VX111i. 1.5x5 x20. on Leupold 2 pc base designed for this rifle. Scope may be purchased by the buyer of this gun for $ 250.00. If the buyer of the rifle does not want the scope it will be sold separately for $ 295.00
