Rare Winchester Model 61 "For Shot Only" Mfg. 1951

Selling rare and fine Pre-64 Winchester's from a friend’s personal collection.  This is one of several that will be listed soon.

You are looking at an excellent condition, factory original, Winchester Model 61 (For Shot Only), Mfg. 1951, caliber 22 long rifle, 24” round BBL, exceptional bore, smooth top receiver.  Has the correct 17 groove fore-end and checkered steel butt plate. 

This Winchester Model 61 (For Shot Only) is 8” Winchester counter bored which is correct and the bore diameter measures correctly at .265 from the muzzle with a No. 81 front bead sight and no rear sight. 

This beautiful Model 61 “For Shot Only” rifle has the correct Winchester proof mark.

Stock set is in great condition with very few handling marks on rear stock & fore-end.  Bluing is fantastic on this rifle.   One very small surface level scratch in the blue on the right side of the receiver.
