Description: Winchester
1890 2nd Model.
.22 Short
24" Barrel
5lbs 11oz
Mfg. 1899
Steel is in good condition, there are nicks, dings, rub marks and rust freckling. Barrel and magazine tube have much of the original bluing with freckling. The action has a mostly brown patina. The rear screw in the top of the bolt doesn't fit correctly and needs to be replaced, (it functions fine it's just cosmetic).
Bore is dark with some pitting.
Wood is in good condition, with nicks, dings, dents and gouges. There is a tiny splinter forming at the tang on the left side of the hammer and a faint crack starting at the end of the tang, (see pic's).
She is in good working order and shoots well. I put 50 rounds of CCI ammo through her, shooting at rimfire silhouette chickens and had no trouble knocking them down at 25 yards.
She is a lovely little gun and has a pleasing patina that would look great on the wall but is in good enough condition to make an enjoyable companion for walks in the woods. $50.00 S&H
