.22 Win. Auto rimfire cal., 10 shot tube mag., 20 in. round barrel, open sights, straight grip stock cut out for partial magazine filling. Approx. 126,000 mfg. between 1903-1932.
Built in 1906 , this is the First U.S. semi-auto rifle designed for a special .22 cal. rimfire cartridge (22WRF). Regular .22 cal. rimfire will not function or chamber properly in this model. Early models up to around ser. no. 1,800 were mfg. w/o a safety. Safety became standard around ser. no. 5,400. This rifle is a takedown with a Safety just behind the trigger.
