WINCHESTER MODEL 1885 HI-WALL SCHUETZEN RIFLE IN 22 SHORT
Description:
A shortened to 26-1/2 inch round #3 weight barrel chambered in 22 Short caliber. A bright shiny excellent bore. Most all barrel and receiver blue remains. Traces of case color on the hammer and lever. This Schuetzen rifles is set up for target shooting. It has an early unmarked scope with a unique mounting system. It is mounted on Winchester blocks tapped into the barrel. There are 2 extra holes in front of the front block that have been plugged. Front sight is a dovetailed blade. Features a double set trigger that works. Fancy walnut checkered pistolgrip stock with cheek piece and exaggerated perch belly with a Schuetzen buttplate that has had the top point removed which makes it much easier to shoulder. Wood condition is near excellent with a few handling mars and marks. Should make a fine shooter at the range because of the near perfect bore. Made in 1902.
