This Winchester Model 1885 Single Shot in .44-40 Win. Cal. is a falling block trigger guard activated action rifle. It is John Browning's first high power single shot design and first centerfire cartridge produced for a repeating rifle. It has a 28 inch octogon barrel and was manufactured in 1887. The bore condition is very good. This rifle comes with reloading dies, 20 .44-40 brass casings and quite a bit of data on reloading and reload test or trials performed which includes charts, graphs and targets.
