You read that correctly. Here at KTC, we pride ourselves on finding GEMS...but this one....WOW! Here we have a BNIB Winchester M70 Classic Featherweight in 7mm-08. Why the higher price? Simple....when was the last time you saw a BNIB, NEVER FIRED Winchester Classic Featherweight manufactured in New Haven, Connecticut? Exactly. Winchester closed up shop in New Haven, Connecticut in early 2006, a manufacturing facility they operated going all the way back to 1856. From there they moved to South Carolina for a brief stint, then out of the USA. What you are looking at is one of the last M70's to come out of the historic New Haven facility, and configured with a Pre-64 Mauser-style controlled round feed claw action. AND IT'S BRAND NEW!! Truth be told after sitting somewhere for the past 30 years, she needed a bit of oil, but functions flawlessly. If you listen closely, you can almost hear the beautiful wood stock begging to be taken hunting....Good luck finding another one!
