c1918 WINCHESTER Model 1894 Lever Action .32-40 WCF Cal. TAKEDOWN Rifle C&R REPEATER Designed by JOHN MOSES BROWNING
Description: c1918 WINCHESTER Model 1894 Lever Action .32-40 WCF Cal. TAKEDOWN Rifle C&R REPEATER Designed by JOHN MOSES BROWNING Here we present a C&R Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Takedown Rifle, made in 1918 in New Haven, Connecticut. Few had this takedown feature and fewer of those were chambered in .32-40. The credit for the design of such a prolific firearm again lies with John Moses Browning, who lent his extensive design talents to a large number of weapon types throughout his career. The Model 1894 was the first Winchester rifle made for use with the new technology of smokeless powder and was developed as a hunting rifle. Over 7.5 million were produced from 1894 until 2006. While various cartridges were supported throughout the run of the gun, such as .38-55, .32 Special, .25-35, and .32-40, the .30-30 Winchester became its staple. In practical use, the Model 1894 became a favorite for general shooters and hunters alike. To this day, it remains a deer hunting favorite, and, in all likelihood, more deer have been taken with the 1894 than any other. The overall condition is good+. The magazine tube bears the original finish and almost brown patina that has been cleaned on the rest of the gun. The action is excellent. The bore is shiny bright with sharp rifling. The barrel to receiver fit is tight. The walnut stock is in good condition and has been refinished. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 26 inches. Caliber: .32-40 Winchester Center Fire Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R Licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $1945 #228114 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
