Winchester Model 1903 semi-automatic rifle chambered in .22 Winchester Automatic
Description:
This early Winchester rimfire was Winchester’s first commercially produced semi-automatic rifle and remains a desirable early 20th-century Winchester collectible. Barrel markings include Winchester Repeating Arms Co., New Haven, Conn. U.S.A., along with “MOD. 1903” and “.22 WIN. AUTO.”
This example features a semi-automatic action, tubular magazine located in the buttstock, walnut stock and forearm, blued metal finish, and open sights. The rifle shows honest age and use with finish wear, patina/freckling on the metal, and handling marks on the wood. The stock and forearm present well overall with normal wear for age.
Bore is good and action functions properly. This is a solid collector/shooter-grade example of the Winchester Model 1903.
Please note: the Model 1903 is chambered for .22 Automatic, not standard .22 LR. Standard .22 LR ammunition should not be used in this rifle.
