I have for sale a Beautiful Winchester Pre 64 Model 70 Featherweight in the most versitle caliber 30-06. This gun was purchased by a friend who wanted to go on an Elk hunt and do it with a period correct rifle. So he bought a Bausch and Lomb 2.5 X 5 power scope with adjustable mounts and put them on a beautiful condition 1956 Model 70. This gun is in 98-99 percent original condition with one exception, he added a period correct Hawkins red rubber pad. After doing all of this work he never got around to taking the Elk hunt so the gun is still in pristine condition. Honestly the condition of this gun is as good as I've ever seen on a Model 70 from this era. You may find one or two of the smallest marks on the stock and that is it. Serial number on the gun is 400397 and the bolt has the matching number. Length of pull is 13 7/8 over the 1 inch Hawkins pad. Rifle weighs 8 pounds 8 ounces. Look at the pictures and I believe you will agree this is a beautiful rifle. There some light reflection on the bolt knob and the floor plate but you'll have to take my word there is no wear. Price of the gun is $1500 plus $50 shipping to your FFL. There is a three day non-firing inspection period which begins when the gun reaches your dealer. Contact me with any questions you might have.
