Winchester Model 70 Safari Express, .416 Rem Mag Rifle
Description: Winchester Model 70 Safari Express, .416 Rem Magnum rifle, with a 24-inch barrel, a walnut stock, and a Leopold VX-3, 1.5-5x20 mm, as well as iron sights. There are no box, papers, or accessories with this rifle. Year of manufacture: I have been unable to determine the year of manufacture of this gun. As listed on the Winchester , the last year listed is 1992. The last serial number for 1992 is G2037985. The serial number on this gun is G332073. This gun is on consignment with me. The owner inherited it some years ago from an old gunsmith friend and has never fired it. The old gunsmith seemed to have like big magnum rifles as he had several, all of which appeared to be unfired or fired only a few times. The overall condition of this gun is 100 percent. I do not normally call any gun 100 percent that is not new-in-the-box, but this is clearly in new-in-the-box condition, though it has no box, papers, or accessories. I believe the gun has not been fired. The finish on the metal and wood are very excellent. The matte black barrel is like new with no scratches, mars, blemishes, or other signs of wear. The receiver also is in very excellent condition with no scratches, mars, blemishes, or other signs of wear – 100 percent. The satin-finished walnut stock and forearm also are in very excellent condition; the checkering on the stock and forearm are deep and crisp with no sign of wear – 100 percent. The butt plate is in perfect condition. The photos are high resolution, so zoom to see details. Contact me for additional photos of any area you would like to see or see better. The buyer pays $65 for USPS Priority mail and $34.35 for insurance. Virginia buyers must pay 5.3% sales tax. The fastest way to get this gun is to pay with USPS (U.S. Postal Service) money orders, as they are like cash. I will ship the revolver immediately upon receipt of a USPS money order and an FFL. I will also accept a personal check or other type money, as well as bank checks and cashier's checks, but I will hold the gun until it clears my bank; this includes bank checks and cashier’s checks. I do not accept credit cards, debit cards, or PayPal. Check or money order must be made out to Jerry Pownall or Barboursville Arms. If you wish to contact me, please "Email Seller". I will answer your questions, explain the purchase / transfer process, and provide my mailing address. I am available any time, except Friday evenings and Saturdays. I will return emails Saturday evening. SOLD |
