This Fowler is 41.25 inches overall length. 25.5 inch welded cone percussion conversion with iron furniture and single barrel band. Right side has 1830 dated Blake, New Haven, CT. No serial number. Brass cleaning rod. Beautifully decorated with over 100 well patinaed tacks such as found on many Plains Indian firearms. All metal is a brown/grey with some roughness. Good mechanics. Wood has worn smooth with a chip out where it meets the upper tang and a crack at the front left side of the forearm. Buttplate is marked "US" . This is a wonderful piece of history that would look great above the mantel or in your den.
