Antique Scottish made 12-gauge game shotgun with sleeved 28” nitro proved round steel barrels (London Re-Proof 1991) that are fitted with ejectors, 2-3/4” chambers, tapered smooth concave game rib with extension third fastener and steel front bead. Chokes are Skeet and Modified. Top of the rib is roll marked "JOHN DICKSON & SON 63 PRINCES STREET EDINBURGH". The patina coin finished John Dickson Patent Triggerplate Round-Action with assisted opener is adorned with full coverage fine English Arabesque scrolls, JOHN DICKSON & SON PATENT" in banner on both sides of the action body and ribanded fences. The number "2" is engraved on the top lever, barrel's rib, bottom strap, and interior metal of the fore-end. The action body is fitted with gold-washed pin type cocking indicators on the top tang, double triggers with smooth blades that are protected by a blacked and engraved trigger guard which extends to a long bottom strap that is scroll engraved with the gun's serial number, the "widows peak" top lever is blacked, engraved and both sides of the thumb piece are checkered, gold-inlaid "SAFE" ahead of the checkered and engraved automatic slide safety. Deluxe quality walnut stock with checkered straight hand grip with borders, engraved stock oval - 'O' in shaded block. Splinter fore-end with wrap-around full coverage matching checkering and Anson type push button release with engraved escutcheon and a dark oval center piece with "2" inlaid. 14-1/4" LOP to a 3/4" leather covered pad, 6 Lbs. - 8 Oz. Gun lives in the maker's single leather case.
