Antique Belgium Percussion 10 Ga SxS Shotgun William Moore
Description: Serial #6832, 10 Gauge percussion black powder, 30 inch fine twist steel barrel with dark, slightly rough bores that measure approximately .75" at the muzzle. The is a "William Moore London" marked double barrel hammer shotgun. In very fine condition the Liege Belgium proofed barrels are mostly plum-brown with the original twist pattern only visible under the forearm showing some very tiny scattered impact marks and an old weld repair to the bottom rib at the muzzle. The action and hammers show light scroll engraving with and are mostly in the white with the trigger guard having a crude repair. The hardwood stock is solid with numerous old bruises and contusions. The hammers hold at half and full cock and function properly. A brass tipped wooden ramrod is present. A good looking export gun from a well known maker that will make a great display item.
