Antique Ward & Sons 12 Ga Percussion Hammer Double SXS 34" BRL Full Functional
Description: The Ward & Sons 12-gauge percussion double-barrel shotgun is configured as a side-by-side hammer gun with 34-inch London laminated steel barrels joined by a solid rib. The barrels are choked Improved Cylinder and Cylinder and fitted with a front bead sight. This antique percussion model reflects 19th-century construction with external hammers and a checkered wood half stock secured by a metal butt plate. The firearm bears no visible serial number. The barrels show a brown patina consistent with age, and the right barrel has a dent at the muzzle. The bores are dark. The percussion lock mechanisms are reported to be fully functional, indicating that both hammers and triggers operate as designed. Overall configuration demonstrates typical period craftsmanship with double triggers and percussion ignition suited for black powder use. Furniture consists of a checkered hardwood half stock and a metal butt plate. No accessories or additional components are included beyond the assembled firearm itself. This shotgun is used and retains its antique finish and aged metal surfaces without modern refinishing or modification noted.
