Description:
This was made by E.G. Lamson & Co. and 1,002 were ordered in 1864 and were delivered in May 1865 just after cessation of hostilities. Collectors still consider the Ball Carbine as a Civil War weapon even though it does not appear to have seen actual service. It still has much of the case colors on the receiver. It has very nice bright and shiny bore and very good mechanical function. The barrel has about 40% fading blue and the Inspector Cartouche is missing from the left wood wrist. There is an Inspector’s S on the top of the barrel next to the receiver and a S on the top of the butt plate. I would consider trades for pre 1899 ANTIQUE PISTOLS and rifles on any of my items.. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO TRADE? Ask about our 30-90 day lay-away program. We accept Bank Check, Money order, Personal checks or wire transfer.
