This colorfull antique wall hanger has all the exterior metal rusted and cleaned with a clean added 1863 date added to the back of the lock plate.The hammer is frozen, and I haven't tried to loosen it yet. The 38" long barrel is strongly rusted nearer the muzzle and the bore measures about .670" and the ckoke would be 16ga. IC. The stock has added varnish or shellac, with an age split on the left side around the lock screw hole. Has engraved trigger guard. Add a long stick for a ramrod and you now have a mantle hanger. Advised not to try shooting as the bore is horrible.When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
