Description:
Army Navy 12 gauge w/ 30” barrels. LOP is 14 5/8”. My best guess is it was manufactured by Webley Scott to Army Navy for their retail sales division.
University of Glasgow search: According to the Army & Navy registers of stock and sales of guns that we hold, serial number 49503 is a Rogers sidelock hammerless gun. This gun was originally purchased by L. Knight, Esquire on 22/01/1908 for 14 pounds. It shows the makers serial number as 74884 which checks out to Webley Scott.
It was Nitro tested in 1954 if my research is correct. 2 1/2 shells. 6lbs 4 ounces. Excellent condition. As you can tell it has been refinished somewhere along the line as the bluing is nearly perfect. The stock could have been redone as well as it is in really good shape. Amazing piece of wood. A plastic butt pad was professionaly installed. Extractors. Left barrel - IC. Right barrel - open. I have not shot this and would recommend a gunsmith take a look at it, just to be sure. Engraving is stunning. Shipped from my FFL to yours. Eligible for C&R. Let me know if you have any questions or want more pictures.
