27" SxS chopper-lump barrels with smooth concave rib and fine steel front bead choked improved cylinder & full. 15 1/8"pull from front trigger to leather-covered pad. 1 3/8" - 2 1/8" drop. 1/2" cast off. Stocked to the fences with figured European walnut, Anson-pushbutton-release splinter forend, straight English grip, teardrops, fine classic point-pattern checkering with mullered borders, and gold oval bearing the initials WIS. Purdey/Beesley self-opening action with fine English rose & scroll, bushed firing pins and automatic top tang safety with SAFE inlaid in gold. Weight: 6lbs, 3oz. Built 1958. Retaining 98% original barrel blue, 80% original triggerguard blue, and 65% original lockplate casecolors, and even with clearly visible engraver's stadia lines at maker's name. Tight and with mirror-bright bores. In original leather VC case with maker's label.
