This is a very early Atkin ( lowest serial number I have ever seen) and it is noted on the rib that they did a conversion to breech loading on the gun. Bores are bright with some light pitting but with the thick walls could be confidently left or be easily back bored to a perfect shine. I would like to know the workman that built this gun as I know they were among London\'s finest.
