1968 AYA 53 Deluxe Sidelock Ejector Game Gun, 12 Ga. W/Case, Rose & Scroll Hand Engraved

Description:
AYA 53 DELUXE SIDELOCK EJECTOR SINGLE TRIGGER GAME GUN WITH CASE. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 293376 (1968). The 27 1/2" chopper lump barrels are fitted with Simmons raised matted ventilated rib. Barrel flats are stamped with 1968 Spanish nitro proofs for 2 3/4" chambers. Nickel plated side lock action features non-automatic safety, hidden third fastener, side clips, bushed strikers, H&H style hand detachable locks, gold line tumbler end cocking indicators and single selective trigger. Action is engraved with 100% coverage hand cut background of scroll with acanthus and floral accents. Maker's name is on bottom. Gun is #1 of a pair with "1" gold inlaid on top lever and forend tip. Straight grip buttstock of lightly streaked European walnut measures 13 1/2" over checkered wood butt and features drop points and point pattern checkering. Matching splinter ejector forend has Anson release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: L .729. R .728. Restriction: L .027 (Mod). R .000(Cyl). Wall thickness: L .030. R .027. STOCK: DAH: 2". DAC: 1 5/16". CAST: about 1/4" off. LOP: 13 1/2". WEIGHT: 6 lb. 14 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun is housed in green canvas case with tan leather corners and combination lock. Interior is lined in green felt and contains exterior straps. CONDITION: exceptionally fine retaining nearly all factory finish on action and wood. Barrels likely reblued after installation of newer rib. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanically good. Case is good. Gorgeous shotgun that's a joy to shoot.
