For strength and safety there is the Purdey type triple-bite with side-clips and gas venting action and includes the two bite chopper lump steel barrels and a concealed third bite, released by top lever. And for beauty, the No.53, is fully engraved in a traditional European ribbon and floral pattern, and includes beautiful high grade walnut stocks, a straight-hand-grip and wrap-around extended checkered butt-stock with a leather covered red/orange recoil pad, and a checkered splinter forend with engraved iron and a push button release. The barrel blue is near new with full coverage, a little lighting up of the blue on the exention of the trigger-guard, and the coin finished sidelock action is very bright and shiny with eye-popping engraving! The beautiful grained stocks and glossy lacquer finish shows some occasional light wear, a few wood scratches and smudges in the lacquer finish.
