This is a dainty and well-balanced 20 gauge side-by-side game gun made by AYA of Spain in 1979. It is a Model No. 3, built in the British tradition with a boxlock action, double triggers, auto-safe, and ejectors. The action retains excellent original case color and remains tight and on-face. Triggers are crisp and ejectors are timed and strong. The gun features bushing set strikers, a detail more commonly found on higher-grade guns, adding durability and serviceability for regular field use.

The barrels measure 27 inches and are choked Improved Cylinder (.016") in the right and Full (.033") in the left. They are chambered for 2¾" (70mm) shells and have a concave rib with a single brass front bead. The bores are clear and bright.

The English straight grip walnut stock is fitted with a checkered butt and shows various light handling marks consistent with age and use. The checkering remains strong and well-defined. The overall finish of the blued barrels and case-colored action is excellent and original.

The gun weighs just 5 pounds 14 ounces, with a length of pull of 14.625", a drop at comb of 1.5", and a drop at heel of 2.375". It is a lively, quick-pointing gun ideal for quail, dove, woodcock, or grouse, and its quality, balance, and charm are immediately apparent. With a simple wood refinish, this already attractive piece could be brought back to near-new visual condition. This is a wonderful example of AYA's craftsmanship in a classic 20 gauge configuration that any upland hunter will appreciate.
