Description: SALE PENDING MIKE S NC 7/1/24 This is truely an elegant shotgun made in an era when America's Gunmaking skills were at their zenith. Bakers were among the finast of the NY State guns and were later believed to have been absorbed by LeFever. 28" with 2 3/4 " chambers, fluid steel barrels choked IC/Full; would make a terrific Mid West or Weatern Pheasant Gun. Handsome nicely figures straight stock LOP 14 1/4 and weighs a svelt 7 lbs 3.5 oz Barrels were probably re blacked at some time are are perfect. Bakers are known for the lifelike animal engraving and the pair of Rooster Pheasant and brace of Setters on the left side are 2d to none; pair of pointers on the right site have what may be rails or possibly woodcock. It has a matted rib with what appear to be ivory beads. Its a double trigger gun with ejectors and perfect mirror bores. For the price of a good Japanese Browning you can own an exeptional working piece of American Gunmaking Art that you can actaully hunt with.
