Benelli's Super Black Eagle 3 Compact in 12 Gauge. It features a synthetic stock which has been outfitted with Benelli's own Comfort Tech 3 recoil reduction system. The ComfortTech system utilizes a series of shock-absorbing chevrons, which essentially turns the entire stock into one large recoil pad. Super Black Eagle 3 features the clean-burning Inertia Driven System. This extremely reliable action never requires adjusting and cycles consistently in unfavorable conditions. This simple, yet robust system is composed of just 3 main parts - the bolt body, inertia spring, and rotating bolt head - and works by harnessing the inertia of recoil to cycle the next round. From a cleanliness and speed perspective, gas systems simply cannot compete. The Inertia Driven System prevents residue from entering the action and ensures the gas, smoke, and burnt powder remain in the barrel. The Inertia Driven System is perfectly complemented by the Easy Locking Bolt System which uses a spring-activated ball detent that slides into the bolt to lock it into battery no matter the pressure – this allows the Super Black Eagle 3 to fire virtually any shell from the lightest target loads to heavy magnum rounds. The barrel is treated with Benelli's Cryo System which helps relieve the stress caused by the hammer forging process, creates a smoother, more uniform surface, and enables the barrel to stay cleaner for longer. Additionally, the Super Black Eagle 3 features Benelli's Easy Loading System. This utilizes a beveled loading port, redesigned carrier and a new two-piece carrier latch. During loading, only the front section of the Easy Loading System's two-piece carrier latch actually moves, allowing shells to slide up easily with minimal tension or possibility of jamming. Grooves in the loading port help you guide shells in without having to take your eyes off incoming birds, and the new, beveled loading port features a wider design to help funnel shells toward the magazine even when wearing gloves.
