Benelli ~ Super Vinci Snow Goose ~ 12 Gauge
Description:
Released in 2009 and marketed as a completely new shotgun design unlike anything else on the market, the Benelli Vinci is the first semi-automatic shotgun to utilize an "inline inertia" recoil-operated system and designed to be a modular shotgun of sorts, made up of three distinct sections: a trigger group and lower receiver, the upper receiver and barrel assembly, and a stock assembly that requires no tools to change stocks out. The modular design of the shotgun chassis allows users to change stocks as needed, as well as keeping different barrel assemblies on hand for hunting expeditions or different seasons. The shotgun was quite a gamble for Benelli to take, with a unique appearance that was bulkier than Benelli's signature Super Black Eagle and M-series shotguns and about as far away from a traditional shotgun aesthetic as you can get without looking to tactical AR-styled designs. For some, this was a refreshing addition to the market, while others were disappointed in Benelli's newest offering. The inline inertia system puts the bolt return spring directly behind the bolt assembly and allows the bolt to move straight backwards without any vertical movement. Benelli claims this to help keep follow-up shots on target with less felt recoil and less muzzle climb. Mechanically, the new method of assembling the shotgun at the barrel extension and the inline inertia system actually eliminates a lot of wear points on the shotgun's internal points of contact. The construction methods used in assembling the Vinci allude that the shotgun could continue to run for longer than many other semi-automatic shotguns, including Benelli's own models. Even with the user-friendly parts-swapping features and the inherently durable design of the shotgun, the Vinci was retired from Benelli's lineup in 2019 and its larger 3 ½"-chambered brother, the Super Vinci, was discontinued in 2021. This Benelli Super Vinci is a 12 gauge model with 27 ½" barrel and 3 ½" chamber in full GORE Optifade Marsh camouflage. The barrel has a raised vented rib with silver mid bead and red fiber optic front sight, as well as a drilled & tapped receiver for adding optics. The shotgun accepts Benelli Crio and Crio Plus choke tubes and includes a full set of tubes (cylinder, improved cylinder, modified, improved modified, full) and choke wrench. The shotgun features Benelli's signature ComforTech stock and forend styling with rubberized foam buttpad. The extended magazine tube on this Snow Goose model allows for 10 rounds to be loaded in the magazine tube and includes another standard magazine tube module to hold 3 rounds for other hunting seasons. This shotgun is in a new, unused condition and includes the original factory box, an additional short/standard magazine tube module, set of chokes, shims, oil, and user manual/warranty. 12 Gauge
