Benelli’s Performance Shop faced a formidable challenge when we asked it to customize our already legendary SBE 3 semi-automatic shotgun for serious waterfowlers. They began by crafting an oversized bolt handle and enlarged bolt release to accommodate hunters wearing gloves. An HIVIZ® CompSight® was added for a better sight picture in low light. The forcing cone was lengthened and polished, and three Rob Roberts Triple Threat® choke tubes were provided to ensure superior patterns. SBE3 Waterfowl Edition models are test-fired with a computerized pattern analysis machine to verify consistent and even patterns.
Oversized handle and release
A large bolt-cocking handle and a longer, more expansive bolt-release lever make the Waterfowl Edition shotguns easier to manipulate even when wearing bulky, cold-weather gloves.

Comfort Tech® 3
Comfort Tech™ was the first of its kind. Splitting the stock diagonally and utilizing shock-absorbing chevrons essentially turned the entire stock into a recoil pad. Benelli’s Performance Shop faced a formidable challenge when we asked it to customize our already legendary SBE 3 semi-automatic shotgun for serious waterfowlers. They began by crafting an oversized bolt handle and enlarged bolt release to accommodate hunters wearing gloves. An HIVIZ® CompSight® was added for a better sight picture in low light. The forcing cone was lengthened and polished, and three Rob Roberts Triple Threat® choke tubes were provided to ensure superior patterns. SBE3 Waterfowl Edition models are test-fired with a computerized pattern analysis machine to verify consistent and even patterns.
Oversized handle and release
A large bolt-cocking handle and a longer, more expansive bolt-release lever make the Waterfowl Edition shotguns easier to manipulate even when wearing bulky, cold-weather gloves.

Comfort Tech® 3
Comfort Tech™ was the first of its kind. Splitting the stock diagonally and utilizing shock-absorbing chevrons essentially turned the entire stock into a recoil pad. Now 13 years old, this chevron system is still the most efficient design possible and was the basis for the SBE 3 stock. The chevron size and location have been optimized on Comfort Tech 3. Furthermore, Benelli engineers have developed a new cheek comb pad, Combtech, which significantly reduces facial impact and vibrations.
Inertia-Driven® System
The hallmark of Benelli's strength and reliability, our clean-burning Inertia System never requires adjusting, cycles consistently in conditions that border on the unfair and easily handles everything from light field loads to 3½" magnums.
