Beretta ASE Gold 12 gauge O/U Sporting Clays shotgun. If you are unfamiliar with the ASE Gold then I will urge you not confuse an ASE Gold with an ASE 90! Made in 1997.
The ASE Gold guns like this one came out of the Beretta Custom Shop or sometimes known as the SO shop where all of Beretta’s custom and hand fit-and-finished guns are fabricated.
Everything about the ASE Gold is built to the very highest standards there are. The receiver is forged from a single block of steel. The barrels are made of the very finest steel available: Bohler Antinit Steel from Austria. The stock and forearm are exceptional. The removable, single selective trigger group is a work of art.
The barrels are 30 ¾” barrels and fitted with Beretta Mobil Chokes with mirror bores of .725”. The vent rib tapers from 3/8” to 5/16” at the muzzle and is fitted with a red Bradley style from sight and no middle bead.
Stock dimensions are 14 5/8” LOP over a 1” Beretta pad, 1 3/8” DAC, 2 3/16” DAH with RH palm swell and cast off 1/4” at the heel and 3/8” at the toe. The sporting forearm has a Schnabel front and a Deeley release. The really spectacular wood was upgraded by Cole Gunsmithing .
The gun weighs 8 lbs. 7 oz.
In the Beretta ASE Gold hard case is a parts box with 3 extra Beretta Mobil Choke Tubes and stock wrench with paperwork. Also included is a parts box with spare leaf springs, firing pins, a narrow trigger shoe (and tool),
The condition of the gun is 98%+. It has been fired but not enough to really tell. There are a few fine scratches in the finish on the buttstock, left side near the receiver, see photos.
These ASE Gold Sporting guns are very hard to find and when you do find one, they usually are not available for long. Oh, and once again, do not confuse and ASE Gold for an ASE 90!!
