This elegant sidelock shotgun features 28" barrels fitted with Teague thin wall choke tubes in ¼ and ½, and is chambered for 2.75" shells. The action is a refined sidelock design with a rare single selective trigger and timed ejectors—most SO3s were built with non-selective triggers, making this configuration exceptionally desirable. Serial number is C11031B. It balances beautifully with a 14.75" length of pull, 1.375" drop at comb, and 2.25" drop at heel. Weighing 7 pounds 8.7 ounces, it offers the handling characteristics demanded by serious upland shooters. The rib is hand-matted and topped with a gold front bead. Condition is very good with only light, honest wear from age and use. Bores are clear, the action is smooth and tight, ejectors are timed and strong, and the trigger breaks crisp. The engraving is exquisite—true artistry. The left lockplate features two grouse soaring over a mountainous backdrop. The bottom showcases a woodcock in dense cover, while the right side depicts three snipe in flight. Each scene is framed by fine scrollwork, executed with masterful detail. The deluxe walnut stock and matching forend are finely checkered and beautifully grained, showing only light handling marks. The engraving is signed next to the trigger guard by master engraver “M.
