This wonderful side lock game gun by V. Bernardelli is in very good overall condition, with only mild superficial wear to the bluing on the barrels and a bit of sticky oil in the locks, making the triggers and safety a bit hard to manipulate. This doesn't detract from the appealing form of this fine Italian shotgun, its hand engraved receiver and lock plates brilliantly accent the classic lines of the straight wrist stock and splinter forend. The barrels show practically no wear internally and are choked very tight with .037" of constriction on the right bore and an astonishing .054" on the left, ensuring that this shotgun will pattern very tightly, perfect to swat a fleeing pheasant at a distance.
