Raised concave game rib marked "Boss & Co, 13/14 Cork Street London W1". Pre-war Boss that went back to the factory in the 1960s for complete renovation including new barrels proofed for modern 2-3/4 cartridges 3-1/4 ton proof. A fine example of this famous London maker, this gun features the seldom seen Boss selective single trigger. Auto ejectors, non auto safe. Boss easy opening action fine scroll engraved in the manner of Jack Sumner. Retaining a good amount of latent case colors, the engraving shows beautifully in the distinctive Boss pattern. Straight hand stock of smoky-figured French Walnut measures 1-3/8" comb, 2-1/4" heel, 14-1/8" LOP from single trigger to checkered butt. Slight cast off about 1/8". Wood to metal fit is perfect.
