Boss & Co. 12 ga., scarce heavy proof pre-war side by side.  30" chopper lump barrels feature a WIDE concave rib  2-3/4" chambers choked improved and modified (.008/.020).  Double triggers, auto ejectors, non-auto safe.  Seldom seen LARGE frame action, showing more width than a standard game gun.  Strong case colors provide a wonderful back drop for Jack Sumners exquisite engraving in the traditional Boss pattern.  Splinter for end and a fabulous round Prince of Wales grip stock of true French walnut showing rich deep color and classic black figure in perfect layout.  Measures 1-3/8" comb, 2" heel, 14-3/4" LOP over a leather pad with just slight cast off at the comb.  Weighs 7 lbs., 6 oz.  A robust gun for driven birds tower shoots or sporting clays.  A beautiful example of a pre-war heavy proof Boss.
