12GA Serial # 1740 Thomas Boss 12-Bore Double Rifle , serial number 1740 ( circa 1860) 30" Re-Browned damascus patterned barrels with percussion nipples and platinum plugs and platinum line at breech. 3 leaf express rear sight with drift adjustable front blade sight. Fine scroll engraved locks and hammers. Oil finished well figured walnut stocks A finely engraved patchbox with a Lion at center and "ME SPIRANTER SPERO" Housed in a fine oal partitioned case with Hawksley leather covered mechanical flask, Mold and nipple wrench. . Condition, Very fine as restored with fine rifled bores. Mechanically excellent. Case is very good. Barrel 30 NO4473
