Description: General Specs: Remington Browning, Year 1941+/-, 16 Gauge, 7lbs 10oz Serial Number: A15436 Here we have a Browning A5 16ga. two-barrel set cased in a Browning hard case, restored to 100% new, with one barrel a plain barrel 28” Full choke, and the other a Vent rib 28” Modified choke, both with mirror excellent bores. This is a Remington made Browning A5, as the production of the A5 was under the control of Remington between 1940 and 1946. Remington serial numbers for the 16ga. guns began with the pre-fix letter “A” and the numbers were stamped on the left side of the action. The engraving pattern was laid out a bit differently and the Remington made guns are hard to find and nicely made guns. What a great A5 for your upland birds with early season birds taken with the Vent Rib Modified choke and late season bird hit hard with the Full choked barrel. This is a good-looking gun with a full length stock to the factory butt plate and a capped pistol grip. The brand new Browning hard case is a $225 case and comes with the key and fits the gun just right.
