First year production.  Browning produced the specific "Trap" configurations of the Auto 5 beginning in 1975 at FN.   While primarily known as a field gun, they offered dedicated Auto-5 Trap models that featured high-grade walnut stocks with recoil pads, step or ventilated ribs, and modified or full chokes. 

These trap guns were usually chambered in 12-gauge with a 30-inch barrel. Collectors specifically seek out the Belgian-made Trap models produced by Fabrique Nationale (FN) prior to 1976. 

Overview
The 1975 Browning Auto-5 Trap represents a watershed year: it is the final year of production for the legendary Belgian-made FN models and the transition year to Japanese Miroku manufacturing. The Trap model features a distinctive high, "humpback" receiver that serves as a raised sighting plane, a dense, high-grade walnut  stock, and a full-choke, 30-inch vent-rib barrel designed for breaking clays.
