Offered here is an exceptionally desirable Browning Superposed Superlight 20 gauge over/under shotgun, featuring the highly sought after English straight grip stock configuration and weighing an incredibly light 5 pounds 15 ounces. These Superlight guns have become increasingly difficult to find in high original condition, especially in the classic upland configuration seen here.

This example is chambered for 2 3/4” shells and is fitted with 26 1/2” barrels, a ventilated rib, single selective trigger, and a single brass front bead. The barrels are choked Modified and Full, making the gun exceptionally versatile for upland hunting applications.

The shotgun is stocked with a beautifully figured walnut English straight grip stock with long tang trigger guard, measuring approximately 14 1/4” length of pull, 2 1/8” drop at heel, 1 1/2” drop at comb, and approximately 1/8” cast off. The handling qualities of this gun are exactly what serious bird hunters look for in a classic lightweight Browning field gun.

Condition overall remains extremely strong and highly original. The bluing retains excellent coverage throughout with only very light handling evidence visible. The wood remains attractive and original with a few minor handling marks consistent with careful ownership. The checkering remains sharp and well defined.
