AT THE TIME,BROWNING/FN DID NOT HAVE THE SKILLED ENGRAVERS FOR SILVER AND GOLD INLAYS,INSTEAD THEY USED GIFTED OUTSIDE CONTRACTORS. ACCORDING TO BROWNING ARCHIVES,THIS GUN WAS PURCHASED IN GERMANY. THE COLONEL'S NAME IS ENGRAVED ON THE TRIGGER GUARD. OVERALL,THIS 20 GAUGE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, IT FEATURES 28" I/C-MOD CHOKES AND 2 3/4" CHAMBERS.
