Description: Browning Superposed Grade II 12 gauge. Made in 1953, serial 34223 has 28-inch barrels (fixed M/F, .305-inch wide vent rib with red front and silver middle beads, 2.75-inch chambers, ejectors). Features include a mechanical safety/selector and a single inertia trigger. ENGRAVING: Double-signed by Funken, receiver sides each present a brace of pigeons surrounded by delicate scroll. The receiver bottom is dressed with rose bouquets framed by scroll - the supporting pattern continuing along the latch, lever, guard and tangs. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 7.8 pounds. Length-of-pull is 14.25 inches, drops are 1.4 and 1.7 inches, and cast off is approximately .35-inch. CONDITION: Bores are bright and the barrels are on face. The opening lever rests at center. Mechanics operate properly. As refinished, barrel (rust) blue is at least 90 percent with lightly softened markings. Receiver finish appears to be original (engraving is tack sharp) and shows at approximately 95 percent. The forearm appears to have a professionally-refreshed finish while the butt has been replaced (ebony grip cap and a Pachmayr recoil pad). CASE: A Browning takedown case (with keys and instruction booklet) is included and remains in excellent condition. The price is firm and layaway is available. High resolution photos are available by request (please include your direct email address with this request as the GB system does not support attachment of large digital files).
