Browning Superposed Lightning 20 Gauge Circa 1972 **Sale Pending**
Description: **Sale Pending** Browning Superposed Lightning Grade I, Belgian made circa 1972, 20 Bore, 6 lbs. 3 oz., 26" barrels barrels with machined low height vent rib, 3" chambers, Briley thin-wall choke tubes installed, ejectors, boxlock action with Grade I scroll engraving with "Lightning" on bottom of action, top tang mounted non-automatic safety, single selective gold trigger, long trigger guard, European walnut stock with oil finish, 14 1/4" LOP over the Browning butt plate, 1 3/8" DAC, 2" DAH, 1/4" cast off, flat knob pistol grip. Excellent, basically new condition gun without any issues, top lever still well right of center as shown in photo, we can't find a handling mark on it, it has just the slightest typical blue wear on the bottom barrel from the forend sliding. We have sold several Browning Superposed guns from this owner over the years and without exception he has always had the plastic finish professionally stripped and an oil finish added as well as had Briley install their thin wall choke tubes and then basically put the guns away. This is from the best mechanical period of the Superposed guns from 1970-1976 when they were changed from inertia to mechanical triggers, from tin solder to silver solder ribs, and the long trigger guard brought back. Comes with five Briley chokes, original owners manual and a Browning canvas hard case. SOLD |
