Browning ~ A5 ~ Sweet Sixteen ~ 16 Gauge ~ 1952 Production
Description: This 1952 Belgium Browning Sweet Sixteen is a semi auto shotgun chambered in 16 gauge. This Browning has a 27.5" barrel with fixed Mod choke and a 2 9/16"" chamber. The front sight is a brass bead on a step solid rib. The top of the rib is checkered and the top of the receiver serrated. The left side of the barrel is marked "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY ST LOUIS MO / SPECIAL STEEL-16 GAUGE - SHELLS 2 9/16". The left side of the receiver is marked "Sweet Sixteen / BROWNING" with a bust portrait of John M. Browning, the underside receiver has the serial number, "S / 34856". The receiver is Grade I engraving. The stocks are a two-piece checkered walnut set with a round pistol grip, straight comb, hard rubber Browning / FN butt plate, and a finger groove forend. Overall this gun remains a great looking gun with some minor wear from use. 16 Gauge SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Chambers: 2 9/16" chamber. Metal Condition: Fine edge wear with operational wear on the bottom of the barrel. Overall about 95% or better remaining. Wood Condition: "(Refinished butt stock) About 90% remaining with light dings, nicks, and light drag lines. Most of the marks are on the left side of stock with a few on the right side and forend. Nothing major. Bore Condition: Bright mirror bore. Barrels: 27.5" barrel. Triggers: Single gold trigger. Stock Dimensions: LOP 14.25". Fore End: Checkered with finger groove. Butt Pad: Hard rubber.
