Browning Auto-5, 16 Gauge 2 3/4" Semi-Auto Shotgun Made in 1957
Description: Nice Browning Auto-5 Semi-Auto 16 Gauge Shotgun, made in Belguim in 1957. It is a Full Choke with a 2 3/4" Chamber and a plain barrel with a front bead on a tiny pedestal. This is not a Sweet Sixteen. It is in very good condition, considering its age, 67 years old. If this shotgun were a person, it would be on Medicare and collecting Social Security. The Bore is bright and shiny and has been well cared for. Since the frame serial number does not match the barrel number, I am assuming that this is not the original barrel. There are several areas of wear on the stock finish that are shown in the pictures. The metal shows normal wear in the grip area and on the barrel where it recoils into the action upon firing. It has the original butt plate and there are some signs of chipping or flaking near the toe of the butt pate that are shown in the pictures. Overall, the shotgun has been used but has been very well cared for. All interior surfaces are free of any rust or corrosion and are appropriately lubricated. The shotgun works properly, I took it out for a round of trap not long ago and it functioned perfectly. These Belguim made Auto-5 Shotguns are just a pleasure to use. This is a good one that has just enough wear that you can use it, but nice enough to be proud to carry it. Buyer pays Insurance and Shipping costs. RETURN POLICY- All firearms come with a 3-day non firing, no-tinkering with (turning screws, taking apart, removing parts, scoping. firing, cleaning or altering in any way) inspection/return privilege. Inspection is based on a visual review of the firearm to confirm that it is in the condition stated. In the case of a return, the buyer pays all shipping charges both ways. Please ask questions. Return Policy Guidelines of GunsInternational Unless the buyer and seller agree to modify, as may be the case in a new gun, layaway, international sales and for used guns and accessories it must be clearly marked in the listing as No Return, the return policy is three (3) calendar days from the day the item(s) are received by the buyer or delivered to the FFL acting for the buyer. The item may be returned for any reason, but the buyer must notify the seller within the three (3) calendar day inspection period. The buyer must start the return within the next four (4) calendar days to receive a complete refund, less all shipping, transaction fees and FFL charges. On a return the buyer must not remove the firearm from the FFL premises without approval of the seller. Once the firearm has been received by the seller and inspected a prompt refund will be issued. Shipping must start within one week of receipt of the item(s). The return shipping must be of equal shipping level, including insurance i.e... Priority, Express, Blue Label etc. The return item MUST be in the same condition as when shipped to the buyer. This is an inspection period only, a gun is not to be fired or disassembled. Sellers written permission is required to allow the buyer to take down a takedown model during the inspection period. Upon the receipt and inspection of the returned gun, the seller agrees to issue a prompt refund. Recommendation: Confirm purchase with all details via the Contact Seller form within the listing and print out the listing for your records. Industry standard is that if a buyer fails to perform on a layaway that any monies deposited are forfeited. GunsInternational recommends all layaways are agreed in writing.
