Near new in box early Belgian made FN Browning A5 Sweet Sixteen 16ga semi auto shotgun with original box, inserts, papers, plug and factory letter. For use with 2 ¾” shells. As nice as they get in near new unfired condition with original matching box. Serial number in the X48xxx range shipped to Hopkins Sporting Goods, Des Moines, IA in March of 1951. 28” fixed vent rib barrel with full choke. All matching numbers on receiver, barrel, bolt and forend. Original finish on metal and wood with blue being perfect. The original finish on wood stock is near perfect with a couple of very tiny handling marks…at heel and one on top of stock on close inspection. Excellent original blue box with label that is numbered and matches the shotgun. All corners intact and the box retains most of its original blue color. All the cardboard and wax paper shipping inserts (which is very rare to find) are still present. Likely one of the best early 1950’s Browning Sweet Sixteen’s you will find.
